Every year a dollar coin changes hands 3000 times. This is the story of one day in the life of a dollar coin.
The idea from Loose Change stemed from a concept pitched for an entry into the 48Hr Film Project, we decided it was logistically too hard to make. It sat on the shelf till about a month ago until one of the guys picked it up again and started writing it. It basically is the day in the life of a dollar coin, but not about the coin, about the people who the dollar coin passes between.
Day One of Filming was yesterday, one of the most law bending days of my filmmaking days. We shot about 30mins of rushes in 6 1/2 hours that will translate to about 1min of screen time. Heres some screenshots of the progress:
This project is being completed as part of our High School Film and Television Class. The Director is Wade Doolan, Im the DP & Editor. More updates will come soon, and Loose Change Should be on SF.com sometime soon.
