In the midst of finishing up my latest film, "Blue Ruin" I shot a new film called "Battle for the Blue Bunnies," a comedy about an evil clown who wishes to rob an innocent man (whose best friend is a teddy bear) of his delicious ice cream pops. The film was originally shot for an english project, but is currently being reshot and edited for hosting on sf.com. Here are some grabs:

I finally found a composer to score the film after my original one kind of disappeared. Zack Parrish will be creating the music for the project which will be on the site within the up coming weeks.

The film is done! Cool The music is set in place, and I'll be shipping it out tomorrow to be hosted on studentfilms.com. The finished product came out nicely, hopefully you all think the same.

Thanks titanium.

Question...
I'm having trouble getting this movie to CD-R. I rendered the final file as .avi, and tried to write it to CD but I keep getting the same message saying the file is too big, and that I would ahve to put it on multiple discs. I'm obviously missing something. There's no way an eight minute film couldn't fit on a CD-R. The first film I sent in was on CD-R, and was almost double the length of this one, but the quality wasn't very good, and I can't remember exaclty how I reduced the size of the file. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should get this file smaller to fit it on a disc without destroying the quality?

Actually, an 8 minute film in the DV format would be 1,632 MB (3.4 MB per second) so - yeah, that is too big!

Can you burn it to a data DVD-R ?

I put it on a DVD-R as a normal DVD, is this acceptable?

According to the FAQ:

quote:
DVDs of your film that will play in a set-top box are also acceptable, however it is still a compressed format and will not look as good as MiniDV or sending a DV Quicktime (or AVI) on a DVD-ROM.
