Actually it's mainly the compression. The colors are a bit more vivid in reality, but the winter atmosphere is nice

WELL, its Spring Break now, but today is the first time I've gotten around to editing the footage and so far its going quite good.

I've spent the past three hours editing footage and my main issue is not with the actual editing, but the uploading. WOW! eight or nine hours of footage is a ***** to upload.

Since most of the film is shot chronologically, I'm still on the first set of 3 tapes, but I'm sure Ill get to the rest soon.

As of now two tapes for a total of 15 minutes of "Real" movie time, thus far.

Oh yeah... importing is always fun

man i get bored importing 20 or so mins of footage for a short, i can't imagine that much!

The worst is trying to import HDV footage into a computer that can't handle it. It starts importing at 1/2 speed, 1/4 speed, and sometimes 1/8 speed. positively disgusting.
