Hello everyone,

Due to a request and the many films that have been submitted to the site recently (estimated posting dates in the queue are going well into March even with a 6 film per week schedule), I've decided to add an "Express Posting" option.

For a fee equal to the hosting fee, your film (or films) will be posted on the following week's new film posting update.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,
Chris Wright

What if everyone then begins to use this option? Will you post EVERY movie that payed this fee? This could lead to quite a bit of movie postings per week.

If people are willing to pay double the hosting fee to have their film posted as soon as possible, then yes. Smile

It is of course optional, but people have e-mailed me about it, so I thought I'd add the option for the impatient ones out there.

Does it just apply to the initial posting, or does renewal cost double too?

That's quite a clever way to eek out another $10, Chris. I know I was constantly scratching my leg waiting for Ace Ramano to hit the website. Student filmmakers are always anxious to show their work to others...I definately think this will be an option people will go for. Nice Chris Wink

Although I actually enjoy the wait (it gives me time to relax in between finishing my project and wondering what friends and users of SF.com will think of my work), I also agree. Good idea.

The Express Posting fee must be popular, as I've received the third film that opts to make use of it. I'm glad people are liking the option.

As a heads up in terms of the waiting list for new films posting:

I have one slot left for 3/15/06, five more for 3/22/06 and then six slots per week after that.

Best Regards,

It's also neat how you're keeping the names of the films that used the express option private. Makes things less judgemental.

Yes - I'm keeping them private. It seems like the right thing to do.

That's cool. Also, just one more quick question. Will the Express posting films continue to be in addition TO the normal films? Like the normal que of films and then the express posted ones on the side?

I think that's what you said your doing but just double checking Smile If not the que for standard films, would begin to grow even longer as people did the express option more often Smile

On a side note, I'm glad to see so many films on the site Smile

The express posted films will in no way affect the normal queue - they will go up in addition to the ones slated for that week.

It wouldn't really be fair if I kept on pushing back the posting of one's film because someone else paid extra.
