Some members of the forum have been stating that they have been getting a server not found error when trying to access the main server of the site for the past couple of months.
The server is running fine and the DNS is set up correctly. In talking to many techs with my hosting company and independent techs that I employ it seems to me that the problem is not with the site but with certain ISPs.
If you are having problems accessing the main server (not the error page of death- but an actual server not found error) please post your ISP and location here so that I have a log of it and we can troubleshoot from there.
Also, if you are unable to access the main server try also qt.studentfilms.com and UntoAnotherEdit.com (my resume site) which is also on the same server as the main site to so we get more info to solve the problem.
Yes for 99.9% of the people it should be. But occasionally I get e-mails from people stating that it isn't working for them when it is working for everyone else - I'm trying to figure out what ISPs are causing the problems.
I'm in hollywood/Los Filez area and it looks like the wifi I'm 'borrowing' right now is on dslextreme.com (IP is 72.25.92.XXX)
For quite some time now I haven't been able to resolve the main server and I couldn't get your resume site or the qt server.
I know it's this ISP becuase when I use my cell phone to connect (Cingular 3G 'Edge' teathered via bluetooth), it works great. Same computer, same OS, same Browser. The only thing changed is the TCP/IP and the ISP.
I get the "Cannot find server or DNS Error" message on all three sites. Ive had the same ISP for about a year (Verizon DSL), but the studentfilms main site has not been accessible for the past few months.

Lafayette, Indiana. Ive been having other problems as well... like not being able to watch streaming Windows Media Player files. (I can watch Quicktime and RealPlayer streaming video, but I have to download the WMV videos if I want to watch them.) I dont know if the problems are related.

I also can't find studentfilms.com with sbc yahoo dsl (my IP 71.129.88.XXX) in the hollywood/los filez area. But I'm sure most the ISPs around here rent each other's equipment so that really doesn't surprise me.
yes, I can. So, are they your registrar also? But why would a subdomain resolve if the primary doesn't? Maybe you had to repropagate studentfilms.com, qt.studentfilms.com, and untoanotheredit.com and there was a glitch with the DNS near me.
If you want, PM me the direct IP address and I'll try that.
