This is the response I got back from InfoPop about Safari support for the chatrooms:

"Hello Chris

We're devloping a workaround for Safari. It is a rather differnt platorm ans hsa numerrous incompatibilities. We do know the Mozilla or the FireFox [mozilla.org] are excellent and run Chime perfectly.

IE5 for Mac strictly speaking is not supported for eve and runs very poorly.

We recommend [as a does Apple] Safari for browsing or the above mentioned Mozilla or FireFox browsers.

There is a new Opera 7.5 for Mac in beta. It looks very good.

We don't have a firm release date for the alternate chime for Safari.
