I was thinking of reinstating the Studentfilms.com Newsletter to be sent out when new films are posted.

I would also include other news and tidbits as well.

What would everyone like to see in the newsletter?

yeah sure! it'd remind me to actually WATCH some of the movies instead of just hanging out in the forums cool idea!

hmm... stuff to put in it.... how often would it come out?

maybe you could have links to threads (old or new) that contained really, really useful info. when a post is almost like an article i always think the whole thing should be put somewhere special like an archive or something. i'm talking about posts like this or this. just have a thread of the month section or something

hmm sounds great. i guess i wasn't registered when the original newsletter was coming around. I would definitely like it.

i would be very interested in a sf.com newsletter. I think there should be, like, something funny or something in it too. I don't really know what, but some kind of funny article or picture or something.

i think in each issue there should be a filmmaking tip.

I'd be interested in a newsletter that contained info about things like celebrity chats, competitions, product offers (i.e. special deals) etc, but not really constant listings of EVERY film uploaded to the site to be honest.

Perhaps you could allow people to select their preferences for the newsletter, i.e. select no listings, all listings, or listings from favourite filmmakers whenever they submit a new film?

Unfortunately I have no way to individually customize newsletters at this point.

But I will definitely add the things that you mentioned when we do have those features again.
