Groupee has upgraded the chatroom features of the forums:

Flash based: Chatrooms are now flash based for better compatibility between mac and pc.

Support for Multiple Tabbed Rooms in a Single Chat Window: With this feature, you can open multiple chat rooms and view them in one window. These multiple rooms can include private chat rooms (conversations between two people).

Rooms List Added to Chat Window: Now you can to see all current chat rooms for the community, from any chat room. This allows you to open multiple chat rooms within the one window.

New Content Indicator on Chat Room Tabs: With the new chat room tabs, you'll see an indicator when there is new content in a particular chat room in which you are participating.

Sounds: New sounds have been added. You'll hear a sound for two conditions. If the chat room doesn't have focus you'll hear a sound alerting you if there is new content. You'll also hear a sound to notify you when a dialog box pops up. Examples of dialog boxes that would create a sound are an invitation to a private room, you've been kicked, or the chat has closed. There is a mute button to disable sounds if you prefer.

The features sound great, only one problem: I can't access the chat rooms. I've never had a problem getting in before, but now I do. Whenver I click the chat link to enter the room, the chat box pops up, but its completely white. The quicktime logo then pops up as if a video file is going to be played, and then that broken quicktime file picture pops up.

What's going on?

I went ahead and downloaded flash, and was in the chatrooms yesterday afternoon. Great. However, I tried to get in today and started having the problem I was having earlier. I figured my dad must have accidentally deleted the program, so I searched for it on my hardrive and it was gone. No problem, I'lll just redownload it. So I go ahead and attempt to redownload, but when I click the link to download it, it skips right to the screen that says "Macromedia Flash sucessfully installed." I try yet again to open the forums, but no go. I try again and again to download the flash player, but the same thing keeps happening. Does anyone have a a clue as to what's going on?

you've probably already done so, but search the computer for all things Flash. Sometimes stuff still lurks around

Yea that's one of the first things I did, and the program file wasn't there. I have no clue why the download site is saying I already have it.
