As some of you know, a former member (Nervous Larry) was suspended last week and since then has been terrorizing the forums to get revenge on us. We thought that banning his IP would be enough, but apparently it wasn't, and he was able to return last night and posted nearly 100 obscene photos and personal attacks against people. We're still working on cleaning up the mess he caused.

Clearly he has nothing better to do with his time than come here and make our lives difficult, but I just wanted to apologize to everyone for the trouble and let you guys know that we we're working to fix it. At this point, no new members can register for the site without being manually approved by one of us, and if that doesn't work, then we will begin manually approving each topic that is posted. Obviously this all causes great inconvenience to our members and we sincerely apologize that Nervous Larry has ruined this experience for all of you, but all we can hope is that over the next couple of days or weeks, he'll grow up and take his adolescent angst somewhere else.

As far as I can tell, we're now all clear. I finished deleting all the topics and posts I could find. If anyone finds any more, please let us know.

Wow, that is really immature.

But, I would like to take this moment to say that I really appreciate you guys for all the work you do around here. You guys have helped me out personally quite a few times.

Josh, you have helped me with information on the appalachian and other random things I had questions about.

Perry, you have provided priceless information recently about copyright questions, and it has been exceedingly helpful.

And Chris, you have started a great website with great people!

I wouldn't mind having you guys approve topics before they are started, it might actually help with not having repeat questions and topics.

Keep up the good work guys.

Some stuff might need to be repeated for each question might be specific. Like if someone asks a question about what camera are you using in July 2007. You might not be interested inthat same topic posted in June 2005. That's old news. Just saying.

And keep up the good work. This is the most attracting and best kept forum I've ever been on. It's nice because it's active so thanks to the users as well. Some forums have old posts from 2006 as there latest.
