The DVD thing depends on hwo many films are submitted probably. I think what Chris said was that their would be a site voting of the best ones. Those would be considered "the best films" then a panel of judges would decide teh ultimate winner.

Well...it really depends on how many films submitted. If all of the films submitted will fit on one DVD, I'll put them all on a DVD. If not, I'll put the best ones as voted by the filmmakers. There will only be one grand prize winner, but probably 4 or so honorary mentions or runners up. -Chris Studentfilms.com

Can't you find sounds you CAN use? Or make your own? | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

I will probably still finish the video for myself.
You mean Sound FX from a sound fx cd? Then you have the rights to them. If you buy a CD for sound fx then you can use them. -Chris Studentfilms.com

All right Chris, here we go: My friends and I sat down for a little meeting. We all agreed that what we have been doing for the past 2 years is what we are best at. Me as Director, him as editor, him as foley artist, her as make up, her as camera operator, so on and so forth. However, you said that we can submit only one film per filmmaker. Would it count if each one of us PRODUCED our own, did all the planning and the such, but everyone got the credit where credit was due? So, essentially, all our films would say directed by me, but the producer would be different for every one. Am I being clear, or do I need to elaborate? Sometimes stuff makes sense in my head, but when I say it people have no idea what I'm talking about.

Only one director per film submission and a director can only submit one film. Sorry. Rules are rules. That's not to say that you couldn't "direct" or have a major role in another film, just not be listed as "director" on the submission. -Chris Studentfilms.com

Hint, Hint, wink wink So I could list myself as co- director. Sneaky sneaky.

No - but you could list yourself as producer. There can't be any co-directors. -Chris Studentfilms.com

Postmarked means in the mail by then but it has to have a postmark, or official date put on it by the post office to prove when you sent it. If you're in Nova Scotia you may want to send it sooner than that, to be safe, cause it could take a while. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Postmarked by June 1st just means that the post office has to stamp it by June 1st (ie - it gets mailed by June 1st) As for Nova Scotians...I'm not sure what was happening there. -Chris Studentfilms.com
