I was watching Syd Field's movie, but I was bored out of my mind. Does anyone have any other suggestions for books or movies on screenwriting?
Thanks Gdot

I read one of Syd Field's books "The Screenwriters Workbook" and found it quite useful, however I think writing is something that is kind of a silly thing to teach. You can take it bits and pieces of things you read and hear, but for the most part there is no one way to write something, so just do it however it works for you. But that's just my opinion.

Check out this article on this site. www.filmschoolnow.com/writing It is a great article that covers the top 5 screenwriting guru's views on story structure. Syd Field, Truby, Vogler, Hauge, etc. It is a great article to understand their different methods and saves you from buying all their books or seminars. It will give you ideas for all your scripts.
