Anyone ever filmed in a cabin before? If so, where abouts and did you own the cabin or get permission? My plan is just to film my scenes in the interior of a cabin somewhere else, and somehow incorperate it to one beside a lake. Anyone got any advice?

well.... i filmed a good deal at Ponkapog, south of Boston. I'm sure there are places like this all over. It IS a big lake, sourrounded by woods. I think it's state property. Anyway, cabin rentals are like $15/day. We filmed outdoors, but they let us base our filming out of a cabin for free. Just look around for places like this. I'm sure they're everywhere. I knew of via word of mouth though.

THIS is the best site i could find on it. it's really a secret almost. takes 10 minutes of driving by dirt road to reach the camp area and the pond. you need to know the combination to get the gate open. i got to film there because some good friends are good friends the manager. you can get a day pass and if you pay, she'd probably let you film without or without good friends Smile

it's amazing how large the sourrounding area is. i stayed there for a week a couple years in a row and you can walk for an hour and reach an amazing boardwalk network bog that goes on for about a mile.
