Ok I know there have been a bunch of do it yourself topics for different things on this forum, but I was just thinking could somebody, or somebodies post as much things you can do yourself from hardware stores for cheap (lighting, steadycam stuff, props, effects/makeup etc..) just like posting links and stuff. Thought maybe this would help me, and others out if it was all in one topic... :\

Ya I was really hoping Studentfilms would consider puting up a section for Tutorials ranging from lighting tips to tutorials in post production etc... I believe this is the only essential missing from this otherwise kick ass site

Hi, Irony said that he would give me site a chance if it offered tutorials so now it does. Uner the "how-to" section in the links you can find tons of articles and tutorials on everything. If there is something you need that isn't there then tell me and I'll find it or write an article about it.
why not take advantage of the broad experiences of the people on this forum? If you have a specific question or need, a specific response might help more than a tutorial aimed for mass appeal.
For example, I've built, destroyed, and rebuilt all sorts of camera mounts and devices. They all worked great in some circumstances and not so great in others. A dolly that goes through a hallway into a kitchen will be different than one that goes the length of a football field. If you're shooting on a football field, you might be misinformed by a doorway dolly tutorial.

Fine fine Christian you WIN! I will go to your site, and possibly sign up... because I do ***** a lot about it, but if u have tutorials then you got me hooked!!!
Tutorials for Post Production and Lighting are often very specific, but Joren is right when it comes to dolly's steady cams etc.
but still a tutorial section would be nice, cuz we can always post specific tutorials and so forth.
