Anyone have any idea how to adapt a william burroughs story into a short film? I am tempted to try. "The Dream Cops" is one of the stories I have in mind. If anyone has any ideas, please write.

I have seen "Naked Lunch" by the way.

Don't even start planning, or thinking about doing adapting written copyright work until you get permission from the publisher to do that, which almost always requires $$$.

Trust me, I've been there and it is not an easy process, especially when you're a student.

Yes, I do agree that adapting any copyright work can be pricey(if not impossible), but suppose I were a professional filmmaker, and assuming I had the copyright right to make it, would it be esthetically possible? Purely hypothetical question, I know. Just a thought.

I'm curious, it's my nature.
