Could someone please clarify me in this: What is the meaning of the stars/asterisks ("*") in the rightmost column of a screen play? Looks like they appear mostly on Shooting Scripts (?) Are they some kind of reminders/notes for the people at the production time?

If you didn't get what I am talking about, please check the following script for example (for the '*'s in the right side of the page): http://www.dailyscript.com/scripts/collateral_101203.pdf.

Thank You.

It means that line on the script had been revised from the original version in some way.

"I told you, I feed erratically, and often enormously"
