This is just a totally random idea I have, and it may not be entirely original, but I think it would be cool if there were a superhero who had incredible psychic powers and could tap into the mind of anyone in the world. And as all classic superheroes do, he only uses this power to fight evil, by sensing when someone is about to cause major evil, and when he uses his mind to stop it, the villian hears our hero's voice inside his head, talking to him. When the villian refuses to cooperate, the great superhero vs. villian showdown happens within the unlimited universe of the subconscious where anything goes, with each mind involved represented by each person. How to portray this on screen is left up to the imagination, but I think it could potentially be very cool. And plus, the hero is able to have ultimate modesty on his side, because nobody knows he has this power and that he is the reason the world of peace continues to turn.

Well, anyway, that's just my idea. Perhaps ideas like these are best left to people like Michael Bay and Joel Schumacher, but I dunno...

first of all, I love superhero movies. They're just so mythic and can be so powerful and completely over-the-top they make for some truly great bits of cinema. However, I haven't seen many subdued superhero movies where there is no "super-villain", and the focus of the story is just the superperson feeling misplaced and uncomfortable with their powers, with no Uncle Ben or Fortress of Solitude to comfort them. They have to decide for themselves how they are going to use their powers, and for what. Think "The Graduate" meets "Spider-Man": high stakes displacement.
I just realized that I might like making that movie. Dibs.

Yeah.. I have two actually. Both I originally concieved as Comic Books but decided I had more creative juices going when translating to film. (or atleast script)

One is top secret. The other.... just be on the lookout for "Low Jack" Sort of an anti-hero.

I have two superheroes but I can't go into detail until the script is finished. But I will say this: they both have their fair share at being villains. Nobody's perfect.

The movie I'm actually about to send to Studentfilms contains a superhero chef, who uses pastries to defeat his opponent. I seriously came up with him as the first thing into my head. He doesn't have any superpowers (except for puns of steel) but he's pretty hilarious.

(Then I saw the Simpsons have Homer Simpson Superhero throw pies in people's face! This was right after I finished filming too. Damn you Simpsons!)
