I write alot, I'm in a Writer's Craft program, and it's been my basis. Since I was five I've been writing stories/dreaming. Some of my favourite stuff comes early in the morning, late-sleeper, one example, I wrote my anticipation for going to this focus program on film, which I later was thrown out of for being a number, 21 out of 20. I like to write first-person fact-fiction blend, metaphor-rich, personal.

I think that's the best way to do it. You have more of an opportunity to flesh out details and the things that don't fit as well into a script format. I hate writing. I hate books. In fact I hate literature, and when/if I take over the world we'll have book burnings and send all the authors and editors to Texas.

If it weren't for books we may not have Schindlers List, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, All Quiet on the Western Front, Jurassic Park, Jaws, One Flew Over the Cockoos Nest, Forrest Gump, The Godfather, Apocalyspe Now, Papillon, L.A Confidential, Silence of the Lambs, The Shining......I could go on and on.

As much as I want to believe that I have talent in writing things like scripts, I probably don't have much. All the dialogue I write ends up sounding pathetically stilted, awkward, and archetypical. I think I am somewhat good at writing poems and short stories though...I've gotten a lot of good grades in middle and high school for them, because I think I can be pretty good with words, especially when it comes to rhythm and creative vocabulary. But would I want to pursue writing for a profession? As of now...noooooo. All the writing profession looks like to me right now is sitting at home in front of your computer 24/7, trying to fend off the restlessness and boredom, racking your brain with insecurity and anxiety trying to think of decent words to put on the page, and then looking to much-less literate people than you to criticise and rework what you come up with, and I personally don't find that career concept very attractive.
Oh, and I'm also not entirely fond of literature.

I use my time in between projects now to write art and cultural based articles and arguements, but most of them are on film for obvious reasons. Then I post them on my webpage and usually only Kyle reads them. They aren't very good, and are too obvious with their intentions with such subtle titles as "Why Film Has Failed" and "Death to Cinematography." I don't think they're that good in the artform of writing cause I don't really know how to properly write, I mostly just take songs I know and fit the article into that kind of a mindframe. But they do get my feelings and opinions across, the ones that I don't have the time or the wish to put into film in the way Stone or Moore do. I am planning on getting one I wrote on my new film to be put up whenever my new film gets sent sf.com, especially since I'm sure Chris wouldn't be picky since there's a wopping 2 Film Articles on this site right now. In fact, I've been a little dissapointed there aren't more Film Articles ont he site.
