Yeah, also check out www.filmfestivals.net Dont limit yourself to just free ones though. Some only require a $5 or $10 entry fee. As for music. Most of the time, you can get away with it. Basically, your a small fish. As long as you compete in the student categories at film fests, you should be fine. If you were trying to compete in professional categories, and started to win, you might have a problem. Most likley though, at worst you would recieve a "cease and desist" commision.
