Hi guys.

I am making my second film. I wasn't happy with the story in my first and at the moment, I am feeling the same way about this one. I need some help with the writing of my screenplay and would like some feedback. The rough outline is my main character is a 16 year old boy who is always in trouble with the police.

When a world famous violinist Alexander Kabzinski has his violin stolen, he contacts the world famous private investigator, Wilson Charms. By chance, our young boy has chosen Wilson as his next mugging victim. He steals his wallet and mobile phone but Wilson puts up a struggle and is accidently stabbed.

The young boy disposes of the body and returns to Wilson's flat and see's on the news on the TV that the violin of Alexander Kabzinski has been stolen. A $500,000 reward has been issued. It is at this moment when Wilson's phone rings and it is Alexander's manager. The young boy plays along, pretending he is Wilson. He gets the idea of "becoming" Wilson and it is with this idea, he persues the stolen instrument in the hope of being rewarded with the $500,000.

As one can imagine, he gets himself into all sorts of trouble. He fakes his way through the cherade but really has no idea, where or how to find the violin.

After a certain lead (This is where I need some major help!)somehow, he finds the stolen violin and returns it to the owner...well, not the owner. He returns it to his manager. But the twist is, the manager/secretary (who is a young women) has been working for a Russian Marfia guy. The final shot shows the manager leaving the building, carrying the violin case. It is revealed that she stole the instrument and gets away with it.

Our young boy realizes that he is a nobody. And only realizes after that he has just handed the stolen property back to the criminal. For the first time in his life, he has seen how some of his actions can effect others.

Anyway, that is a rough outling of the story. I personally think the story is a bit weak and I hope some people can give me some feedback. If anyone has any ideas that could help, I would love to hear them.

Thanks
