hello all,

i found this site awhile ago and find it very cool and interesting. i am writing my first "big" screenplay (hoping for 90 pages or so) but i have just begun and found some major problems. in short my story is 2 girls and guy go to a cabin for a weekend and girl kills other girl and boy. you do not find this out until the end of the movie because the movie is about a haunting. these two poeple she kills, their ghost are haunting her and she doesnt know why. in the end you find out the haunting is all in her head and she is in an institution and she is haunted by her crime of murder. that is supposed to be "the big twist". but the problem i have run into i that the main focus of the movie is the killer's haunting and i dont know how much of a back story i should put in so there is still a "big twist" at the end. any suggestions? thats a lot

Girl meets boy and girl. Girl kills boy and girl. Girl turns out to be truly psychotic and delusional. Very nice.

I'm just going to make a few suggestions that you could try to run with. Have the people maybe just disappear, then the hauntings start. Movie progresses a while and we see her in the institution. Doctors say something about her paranoid delusions about not even realizing she killed these people and that she's living in a fantasy world. This should provide the "big twist" that you want with just enough background. Another idea, if you wanted to add a sort of classic "B" movie ending, you could have the doctors or whatever leave the room, and there behind the door are the bloody, dead corpses. This could reinforce that maybe she's not as insane as she seems.

Good luck!
