hey...i started reading your script...and got about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through with it. i have a hard time reading scripts.

anyways.. from what i read it sounds kind of cool. in the right hands it could be a cool movie.

i can tell you have a lot of tarantino influence. also...i'm thinking you're influenced by anime movies as well? i don't know why i think that...i just got that vibe.

also...you need to do a spell check. i found quite a few words misspelled...or wrong word used. (i.e. "that's write" instead of "that's right"...which isn't a real example i just thought of that off the top of my head).

however...with some creative visuals and decent acting this movie could turn out quite nicely. i'm looking forward to what you do with this.

Hey Thanks Nearertoneever, this is my first
script and yeah, I am influenced by Tarantino,
Anime and many others (Leon, Kurosawa, Veroven).

I am directing the film myself and shooting begins Feb-March time.

One of the reasons why I decided to do it was because I wanted to make a movie but another reason was because of the lack of movie stuff in my area (Northen town in England).

Thanks for your interest - Oh, I've never read a script in my life before which may be why its full of errors and in a strange layout LOL

This was really cool. It sounded like an anime in the beginning, I pictured everything like a cartoon. The more I read the more I could picture it as live film.

I love some of the cheesy dialouge. Some really great set ups and other stuff. I remember that Tarentino quote about books and chapters from somewhere, nice way to pay homage.

The twists were awesome. I liked the ending. Dope ****.

Hey Jumar,
I got that novel quote from an interveiw of
his Wink I really liked the way he desribed it
and 6 months ago before writting began I knew
I just had to put it in there somewhere LOL
As well as a Tarantino refference I also snuck in a Stephen King and Jrr Tolkin refference in the same bit of dialog LOL

I love refferencing stuff u see, hiding little things in places for people to find - thats the Zelda and Mario side of me talking Razz

OH - of the four key characters, three have anime names - Aiko, Biko, Ciko - from Project A-ko. Its funny because now that its finished and feedback is coming through, I realise that anime must have been a big factor in the writting, even if I myself didnt notice it LOL

I just wanted to make a fun movie - a fantasy
that prob wouldnt happen in real life but at
the same time, could LOL

Thanks again and when filming begins in Feb I'll keep u all posted Big Grin

I just started reading it, and I might print it out some day and finish it (if I ever get change around to buy new ink)...

...the rave where everyone died reminded me A LOT... of Blade 2.

...That's not a good thing, just because of the originality problems.
I personally think that with the Blade series and the Matrix trilogy, that the entire shooting people in a club thing is dead (as in so damn cliche').

Blargh. That's just my opinion though.

Oh I havent seen Blade 2!
Dont worry - the massicar scene will only be on screen 30 or so seconds - very fast, as the script describes - its not a big scene, it just sets up the three main characrers jobs - it will be nothing like Matrix, trust me Wink

Also during this attack the "starring" names will appear over the violence so not much will be shown, just the overal "feel" if you get me.

Below is a small 2 meg mock up I did of the intro - its a bit different to how it reads but thats because its 3 months old:

Gangsters In Love Mock Intro

Oh, the main insparation for the intro scene was the massicar at two pines scene from Kill Bill Vol.2 - I was disapointed that we didnt see anything other than the brides face and a craine shot of the attack - again, my scene wont show lots of stuff but at the same time, u'll get the message - 30 seconds tops scene (i have my budget and making all that blood consumes money LOL)
