does anyone know where i can buy the sticks you put under your eyes which make you cry??? And does anyone know where we can get cheap camera and dolly hire??? new to this forum and film making in general so any tips would be greatly appreciated x x x x x
Warning, the following tutorial may confuse you due to its complicated nature!!!!
A dolly: Sit in a wheelchair, drive slowly in a car, or sit on a skateboard.
Tears: Have your actor take a pair of tweezers and pich himself in the leg while his hand is in his pocket. Onions work good to.

I love the wheelchairdolly but there are situations where something like that is simply not good enough (especially if you film with a high focal lenght). I would recommend a Doorway dolly. You can rent that for less than 30 dollars a day in most rental stores.

thankyou for the dolly suggestions. Particleman, the link you gave me i think was for a make-up that makes you look as if you have been crying rather than actually making tears come out, i may be wrong though!
As an actor, we have little tricks to make the tears come on cue. My little secret is this: For me yawning makes me tear up fast, so i yawn alot and i pretend that there is something in my throat and i yawn to get it out. try this and you might find that it works
