ok, in this movie im making, theres this one scene where this guy is walking through the woods and the music makes you think that somethings going to happen, but nothing does, the music slowly fades out but then, when its totally silent and your not expecting it... and thats where i draw a blank. if you have any ideas for what could happen, please post them, they would be really appreciated. thanks

well I think the whole idea needs to be changed if you plan to have some wacky twist. long scenes involving music being built up is played out to death. that ****s for hollywood (and TV). you gotta be able to come up with something better and more creative. maybe its a girl, before she takes her morning pill she's really unhappy, but once she takes it she feels good, then we see her dancing through the forest, talking to trees, then she starts talking to a little squirrel, "hey there mr. fuwz-E tayol!" and then, outta nowhere the squirrel kills her with a weird absract weapon you made from **** you found in your backyard.
it'd be pretty weird, especially if the squirrel is like a guy in a mascot costume.

You never mentioned what this project was supposedly about. What kind of crappy, lame twist has nothing to do with the story? Oh yeah - you probably like M. Night Shyamalan, right?

Not knowing what the rest of the story is, makes it tough to come up with something.

How about he's standing there, you see his reaction to being shot (but no gunshot sound), then a few seconds later he hears the shot and slumps to the ground (the bullet travelled faster than the sound). Hunters mistook him for deer (or something) and try to cover up the murder, but the group is diverse in their opinions - some want to cover it up, some want to go to the police, etc.

It's probably been done a million times before!

Yeah, I think it has. It was pretty funny in Hot Shots.

I figured it had somewhere. I haven't seen HOT SHOTS though! The gun shot thing (without sound) I saw in an old western where guys were shooting at each other from across a canyon. It was pretty good!

Weird! I had no idea that bullets went faster than 1,116 feet/second. You learn something new every day. I looked it up, and some seem to go as fast as 4000 fps

Yeah it's really stupid in a funny way. It's a parody of Top Gun with Charlie Sheen. It's not the most....*cough*...intelligent movie ever but it's still hilarious.

Trespasser - that's the first thing I thought of, but without the "purty mouth" and the "squeal like a pig" scenes!

Vantango, now that you describe it, I remember seeing previews on TV, but didn't watch it. Maybe I'll have to catch it when it comes on again.

ok well to kind of elaborate on the plot, people have been dissapearing recently when they go into these woods (kinda vague i know but im still writing so nothings final yet) and this guy's car breaks down or somthing and he has to walk through them to get to help. i was also planning on maybe using this scene as an opener and kind of playing on the fact that the audience doesnt know whats going on, but the music makes them think that something is going to happen, but then he gets through and when the audience thinks its ok, (insert twist here). its not supposed to be very long, its a school project for short video so it has to be under 8 minutes or something like that.

yes i do love M. Night Shyamalan (how the hell do you spell that?) and now that i think about it i kind of want it to be like the end of the village where the girl is going to town to get the meds, except you dont know whats following him.
