It's about two kids trapped in an abandoned school house. I don't really describe the monster, but I've drawn a few designs of it and what not. It's meant to have an "alienisque" quality to it, in the sense that you never see the monster until the end, it mostly just its face and body, both of which are kind of recongnizable in the designs, in my opinion. For now, just imagine whatever you want.

There's actually somewhat of a (boring) backstory to the script idea, but it involved me and a couple of friends leaving to Halloween Horror Night last year during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, which left South Florida powerless. So we cashed our checks and left, hoping we had enough gas to get somewhere.

Anyway, we left around 5pm, so it was already getting dark before we left Broward County. It turns out that there is this creepy town just above the county line where we saw this spooky run down school house and a couple of other things. It looked even spookier due to all the damage from the hurricane. I was telling my friends about a movie idea I had a while back involving a couple of kids who go into an abandoned house and become cursed or something along those lines. They got trapped and slowly had marking appear on their body and become possessed, see things that weren't on camera, etc.

Anyway, I met up with the guys for the first time since then last week and they asked me about it. So I said I'll write up a script and storyboard something, and if we can get our hands on a camera we'll make it. I started brainstorming before I went to sleep, and the idea of the monster came into my head, along with a couple ideas for shots and things. So I designed the monster the next day and started writing a very short treatment on the script, then got cracking on the actual thing.

I based the characters off my friends. They have the same names, act the same. I wanted to leave room for some improvisation, but in general, I wanted somewhat of a subverse comedy about friends, but with grotesque imagery. Nothing really scary, just a couple of friends in a situation.
