Ok, i really am in a funding crunch. I'm approaching the time to by a car, so what money i have basically needs to be locked away, but in my advancement in filming, i need some editting, and really a whole new set of camera, mics, lighting etc, a huge step up from my older consumer camcorder. So, what are the best ways to make money. I'm willing to work, i do some babysitting. I don't really have the equipment to do weddings or anything... So i was wondering what the best ways to make money are.

Im afraid a good ole fashioned full time job is probablly your best bet. Part time will work as well. Obviously you cant really get "funding" to buy equipment unless you were making a film, and worked it into the budget. Its difficult enough to get people to give you money for your film let alone saying, "Oh, and im gonna buy some cameras, and lights and stuff so toss in another $10,000 for that." They would essentially own those things, and could take them when the film was done. (unless otherwise repaid) Get a job, start working and buy away (although it will be difficult having a car payment as well.) good luck.

Download editing software off Kazaa, I hear you can do that. If your computer sucks (like mine) then find someone who has an editing system, ask if you can have their disk and download it onto your computer.

As far as jobs.......................come one, there's jobs everywhere. Try and get one at radio shack or something, atleast you'll be around different mics you want. Maybe get a discount.

jobs are good.
Doing chores for parents and neighbors is good.
Borrowing someones metal detector and going to the park is good. (I actually madefive bucks in one day)!
Get a script, a list of actors, and paste it to a water jug, set it in a store and ask for donations. (This works better in a small town where everyone knows you).
And if your really in a pinch, become friends with someone who already has the stuff and borrow it until you can buy your own.

-Don't go out very often, maybe once a month.
-buy only your necessities and get your parents to buy the stuff whenever possible.
-pick up any loose change on the ground and pick it up (yes, even pennies).

I do all these things and almost hav enogh to be my own Canon XL1!!!!!!!
