WGA is protesting the studio's decision to cut writers out of revenue generated by online digital media content. Your entrance into a contest somewhere has nothing to do with that. As long as the studios don't have a chance of seeing a penny from your activities, you're okay. This means checking the contest details to make sure that if you win your writing doesn't get turned over to someone else. Most often that's the main reason for those contests. And Kyle, if you were to actually become educated in...oh never mind.

Kyle was just saying in a round about way that the whole thing is retarded because at the end of the day we're talking about TV shows and Films. It's not like all the Doctors are going on strike. I agree with him there but I disagree about the worth of the union, but he shouldn't be accused of being uneducated about it because there really isn't alot learn on this one and it's a fair opinion that the whole thing isn't worth a minute of our time considering non of us are union members. It boils down to "Pay us or write your own shiz." Click below to Donate now to the Free-Kyle from Global Tryanny Fund http://www.abelabilities.com With your help we can find a cure.

Here's what I'm wondering... Are we going to see the effects of all these writers being able to work on their side projects for a change, say, a few years down the road? All those clever, unique, original scripts they've been too busy to touch? Cause if those start appearing, it's all worth it. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

What I don't understand is the SAG wanting to start a strike as well. Are they getting the same screw over the writers guild is getting?

I mean, really, everyone is. They just don't complain much for some reason. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

Kyle - I understand what you mean. I apologize for my comment...it was out of line. Please don't take it personally...It won't happen again... Another question that this strike brings up in my mind is: Are the writers the only ones in the industry being underpaid? I'm quite positive I already know the answer to that question but I've been thinking about it a lot lately...
