I'm writing a dialog driven film, and I was wondering is it appropriate to use subtext?
Thanks Gdot

gdot, I think you might be approaching this stuff the wrong way. I'm sure everyone on the board, including myself, is more than happy to help you when you have questions about things, but I can really tell by a lot of the questions your asking that the MOST helpful thing you could do for yourself is to just go out there and start making little films and learn from that. You're 15 correct? That means you have plenty of time to make mistakes, learn from them, and progress. Best of luck.

Well if he wants to do a dialog driven film with multiple camera and stuff why not?

I am also of the opinion that the best thing one can do to start is filming stuff and little story here and there trying things every time.

But he me be like me: it got to be good the first time or else, there will be no movie!

I'm still not that far from that philosophy, but I'm taking my distance.

When do you not use subtext?
