I just finished a writing a short script for a bout a 3-4 minute action/thriller short film. It also has deeper connotations that relate to our world today. I will explain if need be. I put alot of my mind and worth into it, and I hope that anyway who gets their hands on it likes it as much as I do. Post here if you're interested. You will need enough props for 3 men dressed fully in identical suits, 3 handguns, and some fake blood.

unfortunately, HDK, to get a message across about the current status of the world today must take the form of something people are actually intersted, like, guns, blood, and violence.

You call THAT putting "alot of my mind and worth into it"?
Haha, nice. The identical suit thing is past absurd by now.

I can't believe my eyes. Why not consider why people are so 'interested' in those things, if they really are?
Well, you would have to read it to understand "why" they have identical suits. And no, it's not because they can't have identities b/c they're in a diamond heist. No. I am not going to take abuse from people who haven't read it. And to those of you who want to "read it out of interest", that doesn't fly. Sorry, man. I sent it to one of these gentlemen, they said they really wanted to film it, so they have it and will use it. Don't critisize you haven't read. If it goes that way with films, then it should be the same way with scripts. Don't judge what you haven't seen.

Fascist, if you'll allow me a partial ad hominem, aren't you the guy who asserted that I must like Triple X and Armageddon because I called you a "fuc*in fascist"? I assume you were flouting those films, but here you tell us that "to get a message across about the current status of the world today [sic] must take the form of something people are actually intersted [sic], like, guns, blood, and violence."
Also, not to pick your postings apart, but observe: "Post here if you're interested..." And then later: "And to those of you who want to 'read it out of interest,' that doesn't fly. Sorry, man."
Your duality is puzzling. I would like to read this script as well, if it's any window into your psyche.
Thanks.

My point is that everyone is saying that my script sounds like shi*, but they want to read it "out of interest." By interest I meant interest in actually making something out of it, not "I'm interested in seeing how bad it is." And I do recall saying something about Armageddon, but I'm not sure where or when. I don't know why I would say that you liked Armageddon because you called me a "fuc*in fascist," as it is only a line from "The Big Lebowski." Maybe you called me a fascist, I said it was a line from a movie, and that you would know that if you weren't a douche bag who only watched movies like armageddon and liked Triple X. I don't know what you watch, or who you are, per se (see I know latin words too), but I just feel that people who are just bashing the hell out of everything *about* the script have no right to read it. It may be terrible, though I don't think it is, but until you actually read it, you shouldn't be able to critisize it.

Well, if you won't let anyone read it who doesn't claim to like it already, we'll never know how it is and based on your puerile description will have to assume the worst
Guys, I just wrote this great script about a teenager's self-realization and sleeping problems, with pills and suicide at the endi--oh, shoot, I gave it away. Anyone who is confident they can turn this into a great American cinema masterpiece let me know. But no one else.
Ok, that's a little extreme. But I think this is where most of this skepticism is coming from, FF. Most people on this site have seen it all done before and guys in suits with guns is definately at the center of all that. Right off the top of my head, "The Businessman", a short film touted on these forums, was about guys in suits with (you guessed it) guns.
I don't think it's so much what's appealing to the audience to watch as you claim, but what's appealing to the filmmaker to shoot.
I don't mean any offense by this. I think your script has the potential to be good, as so many people haven't read it yet and simply wouldn't know. But please try to understand the barrier of the cliche that we all face that pretty much no one seems to break out of, or expects anyone else to break out of.
I sent it to you guys who expressed interest in filming it. I really don't know what the hype's about. No one has even read it. All I said was that it was a violent action short that actually had substance to it.
