Ok im in the midst of opening my script with a totally black screen with a voice over action. How do I depict the scene heading like " Int. Nothing - Night "(haha i know thats not it) and when do I use (V.O.) do I have to put it everytime a character speaks? or just have that on the first time and that you just know its Voice Over until otherwise stated. Thanks guys for the posts to come it will help me so much.

I'd title it as BLACKNESS, but I'm not sure if there's really a rule for that, and yeah, you've got to mark it (V.O.) every time.

Although...If their is no Fade from Black to begin with or any fades, would one assume its a black screen?

Just to be safe I would title it "Black" or "Blackness", don't ever assume someones going to know what you mean if you leave it blank.

Dumb down scripts as much as possible.
