i thought this could almost be good, sort of a tarantino/richie style crime movie...except that some of the dialogue seems to be lifted directly from a scene in pulp fiction. "You best back off now coz I’m beginning to get pissed" "I don’t remember asking you a god damn thing!" this scene just feels way too familiar. and not in a good way. otherwise, the ending was a nice twist.
I was going to mention the Pulp Fiction references as well, they're frankly very obvious to anyone who's seen the film. As for the dialogue, try to make it sound more natural. Try saying the lines out loud, then change them slightly in accordance to what you think real people in a bar or in an elevator or fighting would say. For example, "You haven’t a clue." I don't know about you, but I don't know a hell of a lot of people who say "you haven't a clue." "You don't have a clue," maybe, and "you've got no idea what it's like" is better (rarely do people in real life adhere strictly to grammatical perfection). This could be a good film, just as long as you make it as believable as possible, student crime movies tend to lean towards ridged, wooden ideas of what criminals say or do. They're just like us, man. For starters, lengthen the breakup scene, that "I don't ever want to see you again" sounds forced, build up the fight to the point where it would be believable (or expected) for Jason to kill her, then make him say the line. Keep it up, keep us updated. You've got a potentially very good movie here.
