How the heck do you end a documentary??? Especially one that's fake!

I'm not sure what you mean. There are countless ways to end a documentary. It's sort of like asking how you end a story. Just do whatever feels most natural for it. If your asking for specific ideas, we'll need a lot more information.

I guess I need to watch more documentaries! I just don't really know how to end one.

Yeah, I'd say that's the best thing to do if you just don't really understand the concept of ending one. There aren't really any specific steps to take or anything to make an ending that I know of. As a musician, I know that it's extremely difficult to write a good song of a certain genre unless you are familiar with that genre. For me it works the same way with film/story telling. Just get familiar with documentaries and the techniques documentary flimmakers use.

Deopends on the story. Sad ending or happy ending?

Is this about someone great who died a crappy death, or someone who was always in the right place at the right time?

The ending is the last memory you want the audience to take with them.

Is it a 'what could have been' story??
