i know it's kind of an unspoken rule in hollywood not to share information that may help someone else's career but i think that rule is crap! i saw a flyer posted in one of my acting classes about a spoof contest. so i guess last year mtv had a spoof contest for the movie awards and this year they are doing it again. a friend of mine is making a video and i'm shooting one this weekend. i just think this is such a great chance for everyone. if you want to collaborate with me and you live/work in LA let me know! check out this site: http://www.movieheat.com/mtvcontest/

And by the way, I think that rule is crap too. Truth be told, most of our careers will be made by the connections we form. Even within the same discipline who knows when you might be given an opportunity because you did the same for someone else once. Kudos to you for tearing down the everyone for them self idea.

I don't think it's even a rule. I think some people might live by that but in my opinion it's stupid and limiting. I'll check out that site!
