Dedicated to creating outlets for emerging independent filmmakers, animators, and artists to show their work, Single Reel Film & Video Festival's first series will take place on September 10th, 2006 at the Bijou Digital Film Center of Cinema Village in New York City. 

Single Reel was established in order to foster opportunities for connecting independent filmmakers to each other and audiences. We are looking for short films which are original, thought-provoking and indicative of a commitment to the art of the truly independent cinema.  Single Reel is more than a festival, it is a platform providing a framework for the independent film community.  

Entries must be 30 minutes in length or less, in DVD, DV, DVCAM or Quicktime formats. Experimental work is particularly encouraged. Please visit http://www.singlereel.org for more details.
