Okay guys and girls, I'm about to send my movie "Abomination" into some festivals(I't 13 minutes long). I need some help in picking some good festivals though...what are the top ten picks in your opinion.

Yeah, definitely send it here. I'm not really sure about the festival things. I would try sending my movie out to the ones closer to me, and if it did well then I would expand and send it to some of the bigger competitions.

Yeah I plane on sending it here..I need to send it to few festivals first because of that bull**** "premier" only at "festival" rule that some festivals have.
Is it good? No it is terrible...jk, yeah I think it's turning out pretty well...people might wonder why I made it, but yeah it's turning out as I hoped.
"Abomination" is very much a drama....video(24fpc) 1;85...14 minutes long. I'm am a male. I am a student. I like girls with brown hair and dark eys...early mornings and late nights...oops sorry got carried away...

Well, the "top ten" is very subjective. Really you need to find festivals that seemed interested in your strong points. (ie: Film fests that allow, and even encourage digital film makers. Festivals that have a student competition.)
You may want to hit www.filmfestivals.net for some listings, but I found some on their lists no longer exist. You can hit your favorite search engine with promps like "Digital Film Festival" "DV film festival" "Student film festival" and "Short Film Festival." Then just take it from there. It is often a good idea to call the fest and speak to someone about your film. There are alot of polotics involved with film fests, so its better someone know your name and info. Call and ask about their fest. Tell them your a student, and about your film (always be very posiive, and try to get them excited about the fact that its MiniDV, yet shot 24fps, blah blah.) If the entry fee is a bit steep, you may want to mention some concerns ("Yeah, i want to enter but I have to see if ive got the cash for the entry fee....") Sometimes a festival head will wave the fee if they think they will like your film (again, hype it so they want it) Hope this helps some. R. Michael
