THE PORTABLE FILM FESTIVAL VIDEOCAST

http://www.portablefilmfestival.com

The Portable Film Festival is a channel for independent, cutting edge film and video content from around the world. It features all independently produced content including short films, interviews, animation, documentaries, music video and more. Compact, detachable, private and shareable, this is a film festival like no other. Film for Apple iPod. Film for Sony PlayStation Portable. Film for 3G Phones. Download them, take them away with you. Plug them into your friend's TV.

Submissions are open to independent film and mediamakers looking to develop their profile and promote their work.

Short Films that are submitted go through a pre-selection process before they are featured on the Portable Film Festival website for judging and comment by the public. High-rating films are featured on the Portable Film Festival Videocast that launches on October 22, 2006.

From November 1, 2006, videos featured on the Portable Videocast will receive US$100. It’s not a lot at this stage, but with your support, we hope it will grow.

Submission forms are available online from: http://www.portablefilmfestival.com

We only accept DVD data discs containing your film in uncompressed quicktime or avi format. Please do not send us authored DVDs otherwise we will ask you to resubmit.

All entries can be send to:

I wouldn't say its so much that theyre pricks, they just come here for a max of 2 posts (one of which always gets deleted as a duplicate) and really have no care for the filmmakers here other than to plug their festival, or their work, or them alone. They have no desire to put anything, especially their own valuable time, into this website and its members. Its why Chris' "festival" for this site gets entries, even though the sf.com one usually means less money and less publicity/whoring off of ones self.

I have nothing against pimping your festival and then leaving. They're getting the word out to anyone who might be interested. It just annoys me when people break the rules of internet communication. Are there ANY forums where duplicate topics are supposed to be created?
