The Dereel Independent Film Festival is for independent film makers, organised by independent film makers. Our goal: to showcase as many quality independent films as possible. If you want to screen your movie in Australia, this is the film festival you've been looking for.
We are now accepting entries for
short films under 8 minutes,
short films over 8 minutes,
and features,
in the following categories:
comedy; action; drama; documentary; horror; animated; children/family; mockumentary; student; and foreign language.
Each film selected for showing at the festival will receive an Official Selection Laurel. Additional Laurels will be awarded to the film judged by our panel to be the most outstanding in each category, with all films competing for the Grand Jury Prize of over $3000 dollars in cash and prizes.
The Dereel Independent Film Festival will be an annual event held in Melbourne, Australia. In 2007 the Dereel Independent Film Festival will be held from March 30th to April 1st.

Earlybird Deadline is 15-Oct-2006

Regular Deadline is 30-Nov-2006

Late Deadline is 3-Feb-2007

WAB Extended Deadline is 5-Mar-2007
