Entries are now being accepted for the 2005 edition of B-Movie Film Festival, which will be held April 8-14 at the newly restored Palace Movie Theater in Syracuse, New York.

The festival, which was profiled in the Wall Street Journal during its 2004 incarnation, defines a B-Movie as a production whose entertainment and artistic value exceeds the limitations of its budget. Feature films, documentaries and short subjects are open for consideration. The B-Movie Film Festival culminates in an award ceremony honoring the finest of the competition. The judges for the 2005 festival are Ron Bonk, president of Sub Rosa Studios, Michael Haggerty, owner of the Palace Movie Theater, and Phil Hall, contributing editor for Film Threat and author of "The Encyclopedia of Underground Movies: Films from the Fringes of Cinema" (MWP Books).

This year's festival will also provide a mix of the best contemporary B-Movies and the classics of the genre. The films in the running for the Best B-Movie will be screened at the Palace Movie Theater, an 800-seat historic venue which recently re-opened after a detailed renovation brought back its old-time glory.

Entry fees are $45 per feature and $35 per short. Films should be submitted in either VHS (NTSC format), DVD or DVD-R; three copies of each film are required for submission.

The entry application for the 2005 B-Movie Film Festival can be found online at http://www.b-movie.com/hof/form.html.
