You can easily spend thousands of dollars entering your film into festival after festival and NEVER be selected. Worse still, most films submitted are judged and selected by a small group of people, each with their own agenda and bias.

We keep hearing about how new technologies are going to democratize film making and make it available to the masses, thus destroying Hollywood's stranglehold on the art form. Though this is true to an extent, without festival exposure, most films never get any chance of being seen or heard. Our one true goal is to change that.

With the Big Damn Film Festival, every film submitted will be screened* in an audience-judged competition with real cash prizes! The Big Damn Film Festival is a one-of-a-kind, touring five-day film festival appearing once a month in twelve cities across the United States. All genres and styles*, no-, micro-, small- or large-budget, shorts and features accepted.

We offer affordable entry fees with multiple city price breaks. Enter one festival or enter them all, it's entirely up to you. Every film entered will be shown*. We also offer extra promotional services to make sure that your film gets the attention it deserves. You put your time, blood, sweat and tears into your film and it's only fair it gets the chance to be seen and judged on its own merits, by everyday people.
