Before you get too crazy about that $40.00, keep in mind that our Call for Entries opened in October of 2006. Several deadlines have passed and the fees have increased (as they do in 95% of festivals on the planet) with each passing deadline. This is NOT our starting fee. (It started at $20.00)

Keep in mind also that that fee is still pretty low when compared to other festivals and that entry fees make this festival possible in the first place.

For what it's worth, our student category submissions are given a special day at our annual festival and have the best chance of being shown on the big screen at our event. Last year we screened every single student submission we received and had film industry folks in the audience, including director/producer Don Edmonds ("Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS"/"True Romance") who commented on the films from the stage afterwards.

This year we are planning on having horror legend Tom Savini and other VIP guests in the audience for our student segment.

Unfortunately entry fees are a part of the festival experience, with rare exceptions. Each year we have lowered them in fact as we get more and more sponsors to help with the enormous costs associated with running an event of our size.

We totally understand if that $40.00 is too much for you and hope that you may look into submitting something to us in 2008. (Our Call for Entries opens on Halloween day each year).

We wish you the best of luck with all of your projects!

Peace,
=Rev Greg=
