Nor Cal's Premier Filmmakers
EXTENDED DEADLINE
December 1st
Top Prize $1,000.00
Once in a while a contest comes along which motivates participants and Captivates audiences. The Sacramento International Film Festival (SFF) does just that with Nor Cal All-stars, a program honoring the absolute best in local and regional filmmaking.
Now, due to popular demand, we are extending the Call for Entries. For you local and regional filmmakers who thought that the submission period had ended, we offer a new EXTENDED deadline, DECEMBER 1st. Please go to our website and download the submission requirements/ application form!
We Seek Sacramento and Northern California based filmmakers for a spectacular event. This exciting program has already built an overwhelming success with classic films like Timothy Heider's 'The Rift', Constantine Papanicolau's 'The Flying Cross', and Rameeta Garewal's stirring, 'Alone'.
The Sacramento film festival continues our support of the local film community by stimulating even more production. And this year, to ensure this result, we are once again putting our money where our mouth is. While our thousand dollar short grand prize has been emulated, the Nor Cal All-Star program can not be duplicated.
There are no gimmicks to follow, themes to observe nor ratings requirements. Your only guide is your imagination and keeping the film a short as defined by our category rules. In addition, the films must be premieres, having had no other local screenings. The Festival selection committee will choose the best entries to form part of the NorCal All-Stars presentation block. Of course every filmmaker who appears in the program is a winner. For one lucky filmmaker however, winning will also mean a grand prize of $1,000. So filmmakers, start your motors, the 2007 Sacramento International Film Festival wants to make you an All Star.
