The Sacramento Film and Music Festival is now accepting film and video submissions for the year 2005. The festival, which has showcased over 200 films along with 25 live music performances, will take place the second weekend of August at the historic Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento. Screenings will be both competition and non-competition, along with special screenings for locally produced material. The deadline for film submissions is June 10th, 2005.

The entry fee for any film or video under 40 minutes (shorts) is $25. The entry fee for any film or video over 40 minutes (features) is $35. Entry fees will not be negotiated. Films that come in by the early submission deadline of April 1st, 2005 will only have to pay $20 for shorts and $30 for feature length films. Competition Categories

Submitted films and videos will be selected in two categories:

Features: Any film or video totaling at least 40 minutes in length.

Shorts: Any film or video totaling fewer than 40 minutes in length.
