Now in its fourth year, the Harvard-Westlake Film Festival is now accepting submissions from Los Angeles area High School filmmakers.
This festival has grown each year and has featured keynote speakers such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Brett Ratner and Jamie Lee Curtis. This year's speaker will be Jason Reitman, director of "Thank You For Smoking." Celebrity judges will give selected films comments and vote on awards.
The deadline for submissions is January 19,2007. All films must be under 10 minutes in length, and produced by a high school student in the L.A. area within the last year. We accept films on DVD or VHS, but please be able to submit a copy of your film on miniDV if it is requested upon acceptance.
