Looks like King is finally giving the go ahead to make one of my favorite book series into a film (or TV show). J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias, MI:III) is also in talks to direct, which really is just the icing on the cake for me. You can read more here.

AWESOME!!! I've only read the first book, but I've been meaning to read the others. The first one is pretty awesome though, hopefully the movie does it justice.

I am a little skeptical about this one. Films based on King novels tend to be pretty awful. But this was a great series so I will probably end up watching it anyway.

There's always the rare good ones though, The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. Hopefully this can go into a category with those movies.

I don't know about you guys, but I really liked The Storm of the Century as well.
