Its funny how when you take a break from certain films for a while then watch them again you see just how good they are. For example, I watched Collateral for the first time in about a year...Wow, what excellent character work and the dialog was fantastic. Such a well written piece. Anyone else have any suggestions for a re-visit?

I know it might not be everyones favorite film but every 6 to 12 months I love to go back and watch the orignial Donnie Darko (not the directors cut). It reminds me of when my passion for film making was really begining to take off so it is probably more for personal reasons then re-experiencing the film.

A Beautiful Mind is fun the second time around now that you know the twist, if just to admire the great acting.

as nerdy as my pick is

I like to revisit The Empire Strikes Back and The REturn of the Jedi . . . these movies made way for so many special effects that it became BEARABLE to even think about watching a science fiction movie.

I also pop in el Mariachi about once a month to remind myself it can be done.

You're not alone. I'm not even quite able to say what I get from Star Wars, but I keep going back and watching it every year or so.

Same with Lord of the Rings.

My biggest standby is 12 Monkeys though. I don't know what it is about that movie.

I can't get enough of Kill Bill Volume 1 or Edward Scissorhands.

Actually I have about 30 great films on my computer, and I've seen them all 4-5 times just because when I get bored those are my only choices that I have.
