Okay, so I think Mulholland Drive is one of my favorite movies of all time. There is SO much meaning and symbolism in it. And the fact that it is confusing and hard to understand is EXACTLY what Lynch wanted. There are so many different interpretations about what it's supposed to mean. And, in essence, that's what the movie is about.

I think the Club Silencio scene is probably one of my favorite scenes of ANY movie. Especially when the singer sings that old Roy Orbison song. SO moving.

What does everyone else think?

it was definetely out there, but I didn't like it as much as LOST HIGHWAY. that movie is a trip.

I still NEED to see Eraserhead, I already know it'll probably be my fav movie from what i've heard and what my friend has told me about it (my friend tried watching it while baked outta his mind and he had to stop cause he was freaking out Big Grin) sounds like my kind of movie.

still, I dont think Lynch can beat what I find to be the trippiest/weirdest/insane movie out there. THE SHINING!

I dunno man, Hopper in "Blue Velvet" was the most fuct up thing I've ever seen. Especially when he pushes his hand out and makes those weird noises. i think the normal world that is used to cover up what is underneathe makes that way more messed IMO.

Eraserhead is excellent. I'll be watching that when I come home from class today.

David Lynch is cool. You usually never understand what exactly he's going for, that's part of the appeal to his movies.

The Straight Story, i love the irony in the tittle, considering lynch is directing it. Mullholand Drive was a good one, but i have to agree Lost Highway is better, its all like, "oh smack it was one giant loop" when you get to the end, and realize whats happened. Big Grin

I did enjoy seeing this movie, but I dont know if I fully understood it, I think a second viewing would be in order. The reason I watched this movie was because I worked with Justin Theroux on the set of the Lucy Keyes movie, and I wanted to find out who he was. He is a really nice and approachable guy, and is always willing to tell you a Ben Stiller story or two. I did talk to him a little bit about Mullholland drive, and he told me that he was in the movie and he still doesnt understand it lol. I will definitely have to watch the movie again.
