Katsuhiro Otomo's new movie. Same guy that did Akira, but as the title of this movie suggests, this is more steam-punk than cyber-future.

go to this site to see if it's playing a in a theatre near you:

and here's the official site (the language is japanese, but the rollovers and URL are written in english, so use those to navigate):

The trailer looks pretty cool. Great London animation too!

Suncoast is giving away free Preview DVD's for this that have some behind the scenes info and clips from the movie. It looks cool, but I don't really like the color scheme on the characters, too many solid bright colors. IT reminds me a lot of the way 80's cartoons were colored. I hope the animation lives up to Akira, because that's a killer film.

Holy **** it was AMAZING.

the pacing is ****ing EXCELLENT. it just keeps going and going and going, and never gives you time to really think about what's going on, but you find out little by little.

It's like Robot Carnivale and City of Lost Children and The Rocketeer and all this other **** put together.

the writing was BEAUTIFUL. god it was good. the way things are spaced and presented, and it's geniunely sweet and funny.

it was great, go see it.

it just a good action movie as The Incredibles.
