for any of you who have not seen Steve Soderbergh's remake of this Russian scifi film, go and rent it.

one of the most profound American made films i am proud to have experienced.

I wanted to see it and it was supposed be good, but it was in and out of theaters so fast. Kinda disappointing.

Anyway it's out now, so when I get home I'll pick it up sometime.

all i can say is odd. it was havily inspired by 2001, slow space scenes, people walking down corridors very slowly with lots of ambient sound, etc. lol. well done, great sets, good camera work, very good movie. but the story is so ODD! especially the ending, i still don't quite get it.
