Toronto Film Festival: Atom Egoyan's "Adoration" about humanity and the internet is very powerful. He says his inspirations were a 'Boy Who Cried Wolf' and his son growing up on-line. My only lament is: when will Egoyan ever stop casting his wife in his films!?

This years been pretty hot for film, imo. My favourites of course are Sweeney Todd, which has become my favourite film of all time. And The Dark Knight , which has become one of them.

Actually, Sweeney Todd was 2007...though maybe 2008 for England?

I watched Sweeney Todd on January 2 of 2008, so I am counting it as my favorite of the year simply because I have not seen another movie in theaters since.

Once I get any freetime at all, I'm definitely looking forward to viewing the recent works
of Atom Egoyan, Gus Van Sant, Clark Gregg, and Charlie Kaufman.


Also, something tells me Sam Mendes has something absolutely BEAUTIFUL up his sleeve.
