I saw this on sunday night and im still trying to let my mind process how i feel about this movie. (after I see a film it usually takes a week or so to set in so i can form an opinion)

I can say that the first half had its ups and downs. (more downs due to blockbuster hollywood ideas of comedy and entertainment) but the last quarter of the movie really pulled me in and i fell in love with the story. Any thoughts?

I personally loved the movie. I was told that the original cut was a lot darker than what was actually distributed.

I enjoyed the story because it was slightly different than other superhero movies. It wasn't based on some Sci-Fi explanation as to why the characters had their powers, like radioactive poisoning of some sort, but more on the spiritual side. The fact that the characters had a choice between leading their lives as ordinary people (being able to love, have families, and grow old), and immortality, made me feel like the story was able to relate to real life: making choices.

Anyways, before I say too much, I loved it. Smile

EXACTLY. That was the part i really loved... the whole sacrificing love for something bigger... and how they were the only two left because everyone else had already given in. I also like how they showed the dark side of love... every time they begin to love it ends in tragedy.

Opposite for me, I liked the first half because of it's originality.
It's an apathetic superhero, and they could've made the entire movie about his transformation instead of the "Oh, hey, convenient woman happens to be uber as well!"

lol its crazy because i agree with you also... when that **** first happened i was like WTF they just trying to shock us or what? I was disappointed about that at first, but as the story played out i began to fall in love with it. I guess you could say it was two good movies... just pasted together and the transition just didnt fit
