I know some of you will mock me for writing this, but I thoroughly enjoyed National Treasure and I thought it was a very well-done film for its genre and style. The plot was very involved, and the characters were always interesting. I thought it was shot well, too. It was also very clean and left me filling very satisfied and happy. I recommend it if you go with the right mindset.

I saw it. I didn't like it at all. The plot was contrived. The effects and visual eye candy was nice, but kept repeating itself. The worst part of the movie for me was the lame attempt to have a love interest. When Nic grabbed the woman and spontaneously kissed her, I almost threw my drink at the screen. Horrible.

It's a great movie to go to if you need to sit in a dark room, stare at a screen, and not think for two hours. But, for me it had little other redeeming qualities.

I hear you joren. That scene when he kissed her made me contemplate why I waste my precious dollars on hollywood trite every year.

OMG. Sorry for dragging this up, but I was reading through old topics before heading out to the video store. I saw this a few months ago and..... OUCH

So, so, so bad. I seriously came very close to turning it off, which I have only done twice before (The Burbs & Rocky and Bullwinkle hold the honor)

Corny, horribly acted, SO lame and contrived, and full of GAPING logic flaws. Arghhh!

When the shadow of the tower pointed to the right brick at 3 o'clock, how did they happen to be there on the right day of the year? Roll Eyes

Ha! Hey titanium, I actually DID walk out after the shadow scene you mentioned.

The only other movies I've ever walked out on were the three installments in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but I've been to see each one twice, so that makes a total of seven times I've walked out.

I never understand the idea of walking out of a movie - especially at these ticket prices.

I figure I'm getting every second of visual and auditory stimulation that $10 can get me. Smile Even if I don't enjoy the film - I"m getting my $10 worth gosh darn it!!!!!

Now with Netflix that's a different story. I turned off Anchorman the other night. It was horrible.

hahahahaha!

damn you harris, I came here at 1:30 trying to get myself sleepy! (mumbles...)

I think I'll try that: next time I walk out of a movie, I'll turn around and see it again just so I can leave it a second time.

Yeah, I like to see the look on Frodo's face every time I head for the aisle. I assume the minute I walk out the door, Rudy turns to him and says something like, "Oh, Mr. Frodo, we don't need him anyway." Losers.
